The English House Traditional Tea
Room and Innis a beacon of a bygone
Victorian Era where life flows at a slower pace. Take time to yourself
to relax and unwind in a setting that is as close to historical
as one can get. This 1893 Victorian was once the original "mansion"
of Breda and was the greatest showplace in the area in its day.
The Inn promotes an old-fashioned way of life, and does not have
any television sets. However for business travelers and meeting
purposes we do offer wi-fi. There is a front porch on which to repose,
or a side pergola where one can sit and sip lemonade. During the
summer the Victorian Gardens are in full bloom and the smell of
the old Linden tree and columbine fill the air. The front parlor
is an excellent place to curl up and read a book or have a chat
by the fireplace during the wintertime.
Spend the morning reading
the newspaper over coffee on the porch and take a brisk walk around
town. Spend the afternoon on a bike ride using one of our several
guest bikes or breathe in the fresh air while playing 9 holes of golf. Forget about the traffic
and the hustle and bustle of modern living. Be completely comfortable,
be utterly pampered, and let The Inn show you the down-to-earth
old-fashioned hospitality for which Iowans are known.
